CONTACT LENSE: ENHANCES VISION AND FASHION?

         Mrs. Fuentes added that after consultation, the doctor advised that his son should wear eyeglasses as an aid since the problem occurs in his son’s vision.

        Asher is a sportsman. He is currently one of the best swimmers in their university. According to him, having an eye problem is really a hindrance during practices and doing chores. It bothered him everytime he thought that the competition was approaching. Due to this reason, Asher tried to look for an alternative solution and he found contact lens.

While wearing contact lens, Asher discovered that the new visual devise is not only a solution for his eye problem but it can also be used for cosmetic and therapeutic reasons. It provides better side of vision, enhances appearance, and comfort in fulfilling daily activities. He also stated that an advantage of contact lens is that, it will not slip off, get wet, or fog up which can easily happen in glasses. Moreover, Asher emphasized that contact lens can also be used for fashion. It gives a more elegant look unlike eyeglasses. For him, wearing contact lens is more practical than glasses to sporty type of person like him because aside from it is an eye problem solution and hassle-free, you can also select what kind of color or design fitted for your personality.

Some of the fashion icons use contact lenses nowadays to enhance their feature. The purpose is to dramatically change the color of their eyes. These lenses are perfect for Halloween, role playing, practical jokes and parties with so many designs.

        According to the research, contact lenses are those pieces of plastic letting a person to see without wearing glasses. They can be used as a substitute of eyeglasses and to rectify hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and aphakia. These lenses can also provide an artificial refracting surface to the human eye and can control nearsightedness and farsightedness. Another thing that a person must keep in mind will be when it comes to contact lens; there should be a strong relation between an ophthalmologist, an optician, an optometrist and the wearer.

        Before wearing contact lenses, the doctor must examine first the eyes whether they are healthy enough to wear the devices or not. If the eyes are healthy enough, then the fitter can use contact lenses but should learn how to use and care the devise for vision.
